David C. Bibb, a Louisiana native, attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, becoming the sixth generation of his family to do so. David is also proud to have served in the United States Army Reserve and the Alabama National Guard. Following law school, David served as an Alabama Assistant District Attorney and later as a criminal defense attorney in Alabama and Florida.

Since moving to Florida in 2000, David has primarily practiced in the areas of insurance litigation, with a focus in medical malpractice and nursing home defense, motor vehicle liability, and premises liability.  Immediately prior to joining Smith, Rolfes and Skavdahl, David was a prosecutor of healthcare professionals for the Florida Department of Health. Since joining SRS in 2012, David has primarily practiced in the areas of auto and premises liability, product liability, trucking accident insurance coverage disputes and first-party property damage claims.

David has served as lead counsel in over 20 jury trials and hundreds of bench trials. He has briefed and argued appeals, represented clients at dozens of mediations, and taken countless depositions. David is among the Firm’s longest-tenured Florida attorneys, having joined SRS in October 2012.  He serves our Firm’s clients from our Orlando office.
