Tyler started with Smith, Rolfes & Skavdahl as a law clerk in 2004, and joined the firm as an associate after graduating from law school.  Before joining the firm, Tyler worked as a law clerk for Judge Howard H. Harcha III of the Scioto County Court of Common Pleas.  Tyler has taken Examinations Under Oath for insurance claims in Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Illinois, Missouri Arizona and other states.

Tyler’s practice is focused on assisting insurers during the investigation of suspicious and fraudulent property claims. The majority of these claims are first-party fire and theft claims. Tyler also handles litigation of property claims and allegations of bad faith against insurers. He has provided legal counsel to insurers for all types of losses submitted under homeowners, commercial, landlord, tenant, and auto policies.
