Mr. Smith is currently on a leave of absence from our firm for the purpose of serving the citizens of the State of Ohio as Special Prosecutor for the Office of Auditor of the State of Ohio.

Bob joined Smith, Rolfes & Skavdahl in 2009, after a twenty year career as a prosecutor and assistant attorney general.  During that time Bob coordinated investigations and prosecutions for the Ohio Department of Insurance, the Ohio Attorney General, and the Franklin County Prosecutor.  Bob's investigations encompassed insurance fraud, organized crime, securities fraud, and money laundering.  Bob has also been involved in drafting legislation in these areas, as well as in training law enforcement and SIU personnel in investigations in these areas.
