Pat has been with Smith, Rolfes & Skavdahl since 1997, joining as an associate and is now a partner. She has been involved with the insurance industry since her graduation from law school working first as an in house subrogation attorney and then a claims litigation attorney before entering private practice in the Cincinnati area in 1992. She spends her days working in the insurance defense and insurance investigation fields. Pat has successfully defended a wide array of cases ranging from coverage issues to bad faith, including intentional torts, building risks, and significant personal injury cases, among others.

SIGNIFICANT JURY VERDICTS/RULINGS

Defense verdict in intersectional accident with claim of significant traumatic brain injury by Plaintiff.

Defense verdict in Butler Co. Ohio in a rearend automobile collision at a Y intersection.

$750 total verdict in Hamilton Co. Ohio for two plaintiffs in rearend automobile collision with claims of significant soft tissue injuries and expenses for treatment.

$800 verdict in Clermont Co. Ohio for plaintiff with claims of significant soft tissue injuries from rearend collision.

Summary Judgment on intentional tort claim involving a significant traumatic brain injury while working in a steel slitting plant with psychological and physical injuries claimed and a demand in excess of $1 million dollars.
