Heather R. Zilka, Associate
Heather R. Zilka received her undergraduate degree from Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania, in 1995 with a major in psychology and minor in sociology.  At W&J College, Heather was a resident advisor and involved in intercollegiate volleyball and basketball.  She is a 1998 graduate of Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio.  Heather was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Ohio in 1999.

Heather joined the law firm of Smith, Rolfes & Skavdahl in December of 2006 and will be working in the Columbus, Ohio office.  Prior to joining Smith Rolfes & Skavdahl, she worked for the firm of Subashi, Wildermuth & Ballato in Dayton, Ohio and maintained her own law practice in Columbus, Ohio. As a sole practitioner, Heather handled primarily personal injury litigation and criminal defense litigation at the state and federal level.  She has also served as a contract attorney for the law firm of Clark, Perdue, Arnold & Scott in Columbus, Ohio.

Heather is admitted to practice in Ohio (1999), the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio (2001), the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio (2003), the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit (2003) and the Supreme Court of the United States (2003). She is a member of the Columbus Bar Association, Dayton Bar Association, Defense Research Institute (DRI), Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys (OACTA) and Ohio State Bar Association.
